Edward Von Lichtenstein
The PH Party's inspiration all began in 1984 when Edward Von Lichtenstein and Ruby Marks returned from their roadtrip across America. They were fresh out of college and were literally in the pursuit of happiness. They saw and experienced so many things while traveling, things they supported as well as American's wrongdoings, and decided to spread the word about how they felt. Hundreds of thousands joined them in their stance on many different issues and eventually there became such a following that people began signing petitions and sending them to Ruby saying the pursuit of happiness needed to be something more. It needed to be a movement with a purpose. It needed to become a political party. It was officially announced as a political party in 1988 and since then has welcomed millions of new followers, and is adding more each day.
